1988-10-19 | Circular 1367Added
The Central Bank of Brazil establishes that the issuance of mortgage bonds is exclusive to institutions granting housing finance using resources from the Housing Financial System. The regulation mandates a minimum issuance period of 180 days, requires collateral consisting of mortgage credits guaranteed by a first mortgage, and obligates financial institutions to maintain off-balance-sheet controls for identified guarantee credits. This circular revokes specific items from Circular No. 1,278 of January 5, 1988, and Circular No. 1,150 of March 24, 1987.
