monetary
securities

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil decided that repurchase commitments arising from transactions with the institution's own clients, which served as collateral for resale agreements for the same settlement date, will not be counted towards the operational limits of institutions authorized to conduct repo operations. The use of this option is limited to the total financial value of the corresponding resale agreements, and both the purchase with resale commitment and sale with repurchase commitment operations must be registered in the Special Settlement and Custody System (SELIC) or the Securities Custody and Financial Settlement Center (CETIP). This Circular entered into force on the date of its publication.
