The Palestine Monetary Authority requires all payment service companies, financial institutions, and specified non-financial businesses and professions to implement Decision No. (2026/2) issued by the Financial Follow-Up Unit on June 21, 2026. This decision updates the lists of high-risk countries and jurisdictions under enhanced monitoring by adding Bosnia and Herzegovina and Iraq to the grey list, while removing Algeria and Namibia. Institutions must apply enhanced due diligence and specific countermeasures for blacklisted countries including North Korea, Iran, and Myanmar, and consider deficiencies in AML/CFT systems for grey-listed jurisdictions when conducting self-assessments of money laundering and terrorism financing risks.
