Circular No. 2556 — Amends Article 4 of Circular No. 2,452 of July 21, 1994, regarding documents to be archived when opening deposit accounts

CIRCULAR NO. 002556

Dá nova redação ao art. 4º da Circular nº 2.452, de 21.07.94, que define os documentos a serem arquivados quando da abertura de contas de depósito.

The Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on 19.04.95, based on Article 17 of Resolution No. 2,025, of 24.11.93, and on Article 5 of Resolution No. 2,078, of 15.06.94,

DECIDED:

Art. 1 Alter Article 4, "caput", of Circular No.
2,452, of 21.07.94, which shall enter into force with the following wording:

"Art. 4 The institution shall maintain archived legible copies of the identity document and the Taxpayer Identification Card (CIC) of the account holder, as well as the instrument of power of attorney and the identification document presented by the attorney-in-fact, if applicable, at the time of opening the account, which may be microfilmed. ......"

Art. 2 This Circular enters into force on the date of its publication.
