Interest on Central Bank of Brazil Special Series Notes (NBCE) is calculated on the updated nominal value under the Compound Capitalization Regime, using specified multipliers for each payment. For month-term securities, the multiplier is (1 + i)^(m/12) − 1; for day-term securities, it is (A × B) − 1, with A and B defined by formulas. The interest rate is 6% p.a. or the rate set by the Central Bank when issuing the NBCE. The Circular enters into force on publication and revokes Circular No. 2.878 of 18 March 1999.
