Circular No. 33 of 2025 - Motor Insurance Repository

All registered non-life insurers and general takaful operators underwriting motor vehicle insurance must participate in the Motor Insurance Repository by signing a Service Level Agreement with the Central Depository Company within 60 days of the circular's issuance. These entities are required to share motor insurance business data with the Central Depository Company directly or through a technology service provider, ensuring the accuracy, security, and confidentiality of all policyholder information. Insurers not currently engaged in this business must comply with these obligations immediately upon registration and commencement of motor vehicle insurance underwriting.
