Circular No. 3386 — Establishes procedures relating to the accounting record of revaluation of properties for own use by consortium administrators

Consortium administrators are prohibited from revaluing assets for own use and from constituting the respective revaluation reserves, including reserves arising from revaluation of assets of associates and subsidiaries. Existing revaluation reserve balances on the entry-into-force date must be maintained until effective realization through depreciation and write-off, including disposal of the revalued asset. While such balances remain, administrators must disclose in explanatory notes the criteria and procedures for realization of the reserve and the effects on the calculation basis for distribution of participations, dividends and bonuses. The circular enters into force on publication and revokes Circular No. 2.824 of 18 June 1998.
