Circular No. 3724 — Amends provisions of Circular No. 3,682 and Circular No. 3,683 of November 4, 2013, regarding deadlines for submitting payment arrangement authorization requests and payment institution authorization requests

The Collegiate Board of Directors of the Central Bank of Brazil, in a session held on October 15, 2014, based on Articles 9 and 15 of Law No. 12,865 of October 9, 2013, and considering the provisions of Resolution No. 4,282 of November 4, 2013,

RESOLVES:

Article 1. Article 24 of the Regulation attached to Circular No. 3,682 of November 4, 2013, shall be effective with the following wording:

“Article 24. The sponsor of a payment arrangement subject to an authorization request whose payment service is already operational at the time of publication of this Circular must submit this request to the Central Bank of Brazil by December 1, 2014.” (NR)

Article 2. Article 66 of Circular No. 3,683 of November 4, 2013, shall be effective with the following wording:

“Article 66. Payment institutions in operation and the institutions mentioned in the sole paragraph of Article 43 that, on the date of entry into force of this Circular, participate in a payment arrangement integrated into the SPB must file a request for authorization for operation or a request for authorization to provide payment services, respectively, by December 1, 2014.” (NR)

Article 3. This Circular enters into force on the date of its publication.
