Circular No. 943: Cash Capital Increases - Funds Received from Subscribers - Monetary Correction and Accounting

Funds received from subscribers in cash capital increases must be recorded at entry in an appropriate Current Liabilities account under an individualized internal-use subheading until the Central Bank resolves the process. Monetary correction is permitted only after the Central Bank approves the increase, applied retroactively to the entry dates, with the correction credited to the MONETARY CORRECTION OF PAID-IN CAPITAL account. Subscriber funds are excluded from indebtedness limit calculations. The rules apply to capital increase processes occurring in the current year, and Circular No. 810 of 15.08.83 is revoked.
