The Saudi Arabian Monetary Authority mandates that banks, banks, finance companies, and insurance companies operating in the Kingdom implement specific technical specifications for security surveillance systems in all new or under-construction branches, and submit upgrade plans for existing branches within two weeks. The guidelines require a minimum 90-day recording retention for all facilities, with extended retention periods of one year for customer complaints and five years for rejected claims. Specific surveillance objectives (Identification, Recognition, Detection) and technological requirements are defined for various functional areas within branches and offices, alongside detailed hardware specifications for PTZ, fixed, dome, and pinhole IP cameras, as well as NVR servers.
