Circular Regarding the Use of Civil Status and Passports Department ID Cards for Children of Jordanian Women Married to Non-Jordanians
The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that banks operating in the Kingdom update their systems to accept ID cards issued to children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians as valid identity documents for the Bounced Checks System. Banks are required to define a new identity document type for these cards and report associated cases following procedures for non-Jordanians. Specific reporting fields include the drawer's nationality code, the ID card serial number limited to 20 digits without letters, and the new document type designation.

Circular to Banks Operating in the Kingdom Greetings,
With reference to our circular No. (10/4/12833) dated 3/10/2018, and enclosing a copy of the Prime Minister's Decree No. (14) of 2018 dated 17/9/2018, regarding the approval of the ID card issued by the Civil Status and Passports Department for children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians as an official document for proving identity.
We wish to inform you that the Bounced Checks System can receive notifications regarding bounced checks belonging to children of Jordanian women married to non-Jordanians as follows:
- The system user must, through the programs operating, define a new type of identity document specifically for the cards of children of Jordanian women.
- Banks must report these cases in accordance with how they deal with non-Jordanians, particularly the fields detailed below:
