The Central Bank of Jordan mandates that banks and non-bank financial institutions remove environmental and behavioral barriers to ensure equal access to financial services for customers with disabilities. Banks with ten or more branches must equip at least 10% of their branches in each governorate with accessibility features, including ramps, dedicated parking, and accessible ATMs, while smaller banks must equip at least one branch or provide fee-free services. The regulations prohibit discriminatory pricing, require the acceptance of alternative signatures for visually impaired or illiterate customers, and mandate the protection of customer data and responsible debt practices.
