Ref.: Circular SINAP 1-238: National Payments System. Truncation of Checks and Transmission of Images.

___________________________________________________________________________ We address you to inform you that this Institution has resolved to modify the threshold for checks truncated without image transmission. Check-holding entities shall retain the documents and transmit the corresponding electronic information to the electronic clearing house when their amount is less than or equal to $ 2,000,000 (two million pesos). For checks exceeding the established threshold, check-holding entities shall retain the documents and transmit, in addition to the electronic record, the image of their front and back. Likewise, check-holding entities, regardless of amount, shall transmit the image of the front and back for all remaining negotiable instruments. The measure will take effect on November 10, 2025.
