CISCA Circular No 13 to Managers and Trustees of Collective Investment Schemes in Securities – Cash Funds

Managers of collective investment schemes must ensure portfolio names containing "cash" reflect investment policies allowing non-equity securities with a maximum maturity of 21 days. Managers of existing non-compliant portfolios must rename them by submitting an application and draft supplemental deed within 30 days of the Circular’s date. The new name must be detailed and aligned with the portfolio’s investment policy. This requirement applies with effect from the Circular’s date, replacing prior naming controversies.
