CMN Resolution No. 2093 — Amending Article 3 of Resolution No. 1,861 Regarding the Contribution Rate to the FGDLI

RESOLUTION NO. 002093

Amending Article 3 of Resolution No. 1,861, of 08.28.91, which deals with the contribution percentage to the Deposit and Real Estate Letters Guarantee Fund (FGDLI).

THE CENTRAL BANK OF BRAZIL, in accordance with Article 9 of Law No. 4,595, of 12.31.64, makes public that the MONETARY COUNCIL, in a session held on 07.27.94, based on the provisions of Article 7 of Decree-Law No. 2,291, of 11.21.86,

RESOLVED:

Article 1. Amend Article 3, "caput", of Resolution No. 1,861, of 08.28.91, which shall henceforth read as follows:

"Article 3. Establish that the contribution of financial agents to the FGDLI shall be 0.025% (twenty-five thousandths percent) per month, levied on the balances of savings accounts and real estate letters existing on the last day of the previous month. ......"

Article 2. For the purposes of the provisions of Article 10 of Resolution No. 1,980, of 04.30.93, and also for the calculation of the contribution value to the FGDLI, differences between the values deducted by financial agents and those calculated by the Central Bank of Brazil shall be admitted, until 07.01.94, provided they result exclusively from the use of basic update indexers for savings deposits, instead of those contained in the agreements signed with the former National Housing Bank (BNH).

Article 3. This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
