Rule · BCB · 29 May 2025 · Resolução CMN 5220
This resolution amends the Manual of Rural Credit (MCR) to allow financial institutions to renegotiate payment terms for agricultural operating credit operations in cases of temporary repayment difficulty. For operations contracted with mandatory resources or equalization, specific conditions apply, including a limit where up to 8% of scheduled installments can be extended for up to 36 months if reclassification is not possible. Exceptional provisions for 2025 increase these renegotiation percentages to 17%, 20%, and 23% for institutions directing over 90% of equalized resources to Rio Grande do Sul.
