CMN RESOLUTION NO. 5,290, OF MARCH 26, 2026

Alters the sub-requirement percentage of resources for the National Program for Strengthening Family Agriculture – Pronaf, within the scope of mandatory resource compliance (MCR 6-2), with application in the months of April, May, and June of the 2025-2026 compliance period.

The Central Bank of Brazil, in accordance with Art. 9 of Law No. 4,595, of December 31, 1964, makes public that the National Monetary Council, in a session held on March 26, 2026, considering the provisions of Art. 4, caput, items VI and VIII, of the aforementioned Law, and of Arts. 4 and 21 of Law No. 4,829, of November 5, 1965,

RESOLVES:

Art. 1 The Section 8 (Transitional Norms) of Chapter 6 (Resources) of the Rural Credit Manual – MCR shall be in effect with the following alterations:

“35 - Exceptionally, during the compliance period starting on the first business day of July 2025 and ending on the last business day of June 2026, the Pronaf Sub-requirement percentage of 14.35% (fourteen and thirty-five hundredths percent) must be applied from April 1 to June 30, 2026, in substitution for the percentage referred to in MCR 6-2-10.” (NR)

“36 - For the compliance period starting on the first business day of July 2025 and ending on the last business day of June 2026, the calculation of the Pronaf Sub-requirement shall be performed based on the weighted average of the percentages applicable to each period.” (NR)

Art. 2 This Resolution enters into force on the date of its publication.
