The Minister of Finance establishes regulations for the registration and operation of professional collective investment schemes in Zimbabwe. Professional schemes must have between five and 50 participants, each holding a minimum subscription of $50,000, and are restricted to qualified persons such as legal practitioners or experienced investors. Promoters and managers are required to submit half-yearly returns detailing asset values, participant numbers, and complaints, while advertisements must explicitly state that the Registrar and Government accept no responsibility for the scheme.
