Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2020/1212 amending Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/1229 on settlement discipline
The European Commission amends Article 42 of Delegated Regulation (EU) 2018/1229 to defer the entry into force of the settlement discipline regulatory technical standards to 1 February 2021. This delay provides CSDs, CCPs, trading venues, investment firms, and credit institutions additional time to adapt IT systems, update ISO messages, and adjust contractual arrangements. The regulation itself enters into force on the third day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
