Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2022/750 amending regulatory technical standards on the transition to new benchmarks in OTC derivative contracts

The European Commission amends Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/2205 to remove OTC interest rate derivatives referencing EONIA, GBP LIBOR, JPY LIBOR, and USD LIBOR from the clearing obligation due to benchmark cessation. It simultaneously adds classes referencing the risk-free rates €STR, SONIA, and SOFR to the clearing obligation. The clearing obligation for €STR and SONIA derivatives takes effect on 18 May 2022, while the obligation for SOFR derivatives takes effect on 18 August 2022.
