Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2024/1127 on in-service verification of CO2 emissions and fuel consumption of heavy-duty vehicles
The European Commission establishes procedures for verifying that CO2 emissions and fuel consumption values of heavy-duty vehicles in-service correspond to those recorded in customer information files. Granting approval authorities must conduct tests, including on-road, air drag, and dedicated checks for artificial strategies, performed by independent technical services. Manufacturers with fewer than 100 new vehicles registered in the relevant period are exempt from these verifications. The regulation enters into force on the twentieth day following its publication in the Official Journal of the European Union.
