The European Commission amends Delegated Regulation (EU) No 1003/2013 to harmonize and simplify the calculation and payment of fees charged by ESMA to trade repositories. The revised rules require fees to be based on turnover from core derivatives activities and specific ancillary services, using audited accounts from two years prior, with a minimum annual supervisory fee of EUR 30,000. Payment deadlines are standardized, requiring registration and recognition fees within 30 calendar days of invoicing and annual supervisory fees in a single installment by the end of March. The regulation applies from 1 January 2025.
