The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan amended the Companies (Incorporation) Regulations, 2017 to streamline company name reservation and incorporation procedures. The changes allow applicants to file separate or combined applications for name reservation and incorporation, with combined applications restricted to online e-service submissions for non-licensed entities. New provisions were introduced for fee payments via credit/debit cards or online modes, and specific criteria were updated for using restricted words in company names, including the addition of 'Chapter' and the omission of 'Familiar Trade Names'. These regulations apply to persons desiring to form companies under the Companies Act, 2017.
