Companies (Mediation and Conciliation) Regulations, 2018
The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan establishes a Panel of mediators and conciliators for resolving disputes under the Companies Act, 2017, requiring applicants to hold specific judicial or professional qualifications and ten years of relevant experience. The regulations mandate that referred matters be disposed of within ninety days, with costs shared equally by the parties and proceedings commencing only upon deposit of probable expenses. Disputes are resolved through mutual consent, resulting in a binding settlement agreement or a report to the Commission if no agreement is reached, subject to penalties for non-compliance.
