Content of Investment Mandates
NAMFISA issued Standard GEN 10-12 to establish mandatory content requirements for written Investment Mandates between Institutional Investors and registered investment managers. The Standard requires these agreements to explicitly define investment objectives, portfolio management duties, asset custody arrangements, and detailed monthly and quarterly reporting obligations. It further mandates clear provisions for fee calculations, risk management policies, conflict resolution procedures, and a minimum five-year record retention period.
