CSSF Regulation No 22-02 of 31 March 2022 on the Setting of the Countercyclical Buffer Rate for the Second Quarter of 2022

The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Regulation No 22-02 to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for exposures located in Luxembourg during the second quarter of 2022. This decision follows the Systemic Risk Committee's recommendation to keep the rate unchanged, citing that while the credit-to-GDP gap remains below the 2% activation threshold, credit dynamics to households still pose potential systemic risks. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Journal officiel du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
