Decision on procedures and requirements for selection, appointment and replacement of members of the Advisory Scientific Committee of the ESRB
The General Board of the European Systemic Risk Board establishes procedures for selecting, appointing, and replacing members of the Advisory Scientific Committee. The Steering Committee evaluates candidates against specific expertise criteria and proposes members and a reserve list to the General Board for approval. Members serve a four-year renewable mandate and must submit declarations of independence, interests, and confidentiality. The Chair and Vice-Chairs are appointed by the General Board upon proposal by the ESRB Chair, with chairmanship rotating every 16 months.
