Decision on the Issue of 5000-Dinar Banknote and its Main Features
The Governor of the National Bank of Serbia issued a decision on 27 April 2016 to introduce a 5000-dinar banknote featuring the portrait of Slobodan Jovanović. The note incorporates advanced security elements including a multitone watermark, optically variable ink, a see-through register, and specific ultraviolet and infrared fluorescent responses. Measuring 76 x 159 mm, the banknote was scheduled to enter into force on 6 May 2016 as published in the RS Official Gazette.
