Detailed Rules on Emergency Loans Collateralized by Financial Institutions' Loan Claims to the Bank of Korea

Financial institutions must submit Form No. 1 to the Bank of Korea to access emergency loans collateralized by KRW-denominated loan claims with balances of 3 billion KRW or more and maturities of three to ten years. Eligible claims require external audit opinions of "Fair" and exclude subordinated, foreign-law, or specific related-party loans. Institutions must regularly update collateral information and supplement value if it falls short of loan balances. Non-compliance with collateral supplementation requests allows the Director of the Financial Business Bureau to suspend new loans and recall existing ones, while other breaches may trigger loan limit reductions, late payment compensation, or agreement termination.
