DNB determines the buffers for systemically important banks: G-SII & O-SII
DNB sets O-SII buffer requirements for ING at 2%, Rabobank at 1.5%, ABN AMRO at 1.25%, and BNG and ASN Bank at 0.25%, effective 3 December 2025. Rabobank’s buffer is reduced from 1.75% to 1.5% due to a decrease in its systemic importance score, while requirements for the other designated banks remain unchanged. ING is also designated as a G-SII, requiring an additional leverage ratio buffer of 0.5%, though this does not affect its risk-weighted capital requirement as the O-SII buffer is higher.
