The Department of Off-Site Supervision mandates that scheduled banks in Bangladesh operate with restricted hours and limited staff from July 15 to August 5, 2021, while strictly adhering to health protocols including mask-wearing. Banks must maintain continuous operations for card transactions, internet banking, ATMs, and specific services such as cash deposits/withdrawals, foreign remittance payments, and treasury drafts, particularly in designated industrial areas and ports. Additionally, branches closed during this period must ensure their customers are served through open branches and display clear notices regarding service availability.
