The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan publishes these draft regulations for public consultation to establish a framework for reporting violations of administered legislation. The text requires listed companies, public sector companies, and regulated persons to formulate whistleblowing policies, protect employees from retaliation, and report protected disclosures to the Commission via the Audit Committee twice annually. It defines whistleblower obligations such as acting in good faith and providing original information, while granting the Commission authority to impose penalties or issue directions if entities fail to furnish required documents. The draft specifies that objections and suggestions must be submitted within 30 days of publication.
