The EBA Guidelines on the resubmission of historical data, effective 17 October 2024, modify the obligation for institutions to correct previous reports by defining specific timeframes for resubmissions based on reporting frequency. Institutions must resubmit corrected data for the current reference date and at least one calendar year back, covering one reference date for annual reports and four for quarterly reports. The European Banking Authority permits supervisors to request resubmissions beyond this one-year window if necessary for supervisory tasks, while errors within established tolerance limits are exempt from re-reporting.
