Emphasizing the obligation of banks to obtain data from the Egyptian Credit Inquiry Company I-score

Banks and financial institutions are required to obtain credit information for individuals and small and medium enterprises with credit exposure not exceeding one million Egyptian pounds from the Egyptian Credit Inquiry Company (I-score) and the Central Bank's consolidated credit data registration system. This I-score report is mandatory and must be included in credit study memos presented to the competent authority for granting, increasing, or renewing credit. The Central Bank will verify compliance with these data provision and usage obligations during periodic inspections.
