ESMA Launches a Call for Evidence on Sustainability in Suitability and Product Governance
The European Securities and Markets Authority (ESMA) launched a Call for Evidence on 16 June 2023 to assess how investment firms integrate sustainability requirements into MiFID II suitability assessments and product governance. The Malta Financial Services Authority issued this circular to invite comments from investment firms, credit institutions, and fund managers on the specific questions outlined in Annex 1. Stakeholders are required to submit their responses via the ESMA portal by 15 September 2023 to assist in ensuring consistent implementation and investor protection.
