Exceptional measures concerning cash withdrawals from small accounts
The Central Bank of Lebanon issued Mediator Circular No. 549 to amend Decision No. 13215 regarding exceptional cash withdrawal measures from small accounts. The amendment clarifies that the withdrawal limit applies to the aggregate balance of all accounts held by a single client, including joint accounts and related accounts, after deducting any outstanding debts to the bank. Additionally, it permits clients to utilize the remaining credit balance after fully repaying their current account overdraft facility to calculate the eligible withdrawal amount.
