Extension of Deadlines for External Debt Survey of the Private Sector (Communications A 418, A 429 and A 433). REFEX 1 - 16

TO FINANCIAL ENTITIES, HOUSES, AGENCIES AND OFFICES AUTHORIZED TO OPERATE IN EXCHANGE AND EXCHANGE BROKERS:
Ref.: Survey of the External Debt of the Private Sector (Communications "A" 418, "A" 429 and "A" 433). REFEX - 1 - 16

We address you to inform you that, due to the delay with which some financial entities are proceeding to certify debt declarations corresponding to their numerous clients, and the consequent delay in their submission to the Central Bank within the time limits stipulated by the reference regulations, the following extensions have been established:

1. For debtors of the Private Sector who are not authorized financial entities and who declare debts that must be certified by financial entities, the final submission deadline is established as 2/29/84.

2. For authorized financial entities, for the purpose of submitting their debt declarations and the list of debtors provided for by Communication "A" 418 (point V, last paragraph), the final submission deadline is set as 3/14/84.

3. For authorized financial entities, for the purpose of updating their declarations for credit lines as of 12/31/83, the final deadline is set as 3/26/84.

Likewise, and due to the procedures that firms in creditor proceedings must carry out to comply with the survey, it has been decided to set the final deadline for the submission of their debt declarations as 2/29/84.
