CSSF Regulation No 25-06 of 30 December 2025 on the setting of the countercyclical buffer rate for the first quarter of 2026
The Commission de Surveillance du Secteur Financier (CSSF) issued Regulation No 25-06 to maintain the countercyclical buffer rate at 0.50% for relevant exposures in Luxembourg during the first quarter of 2026. This decision follows a recommendation from the Systemic Risk Committee, which cited the need to preserve institutional resilience against economic and geopolitical uncertainties despite a negative credit-to-GDP gap. The regulation entered into force upon its publication in the Journal officiel du Grand-Duché de Luxembourg.
