Effective September 30, 2025, filers relying on the trademark exclusion in Section 36b-61(2)(D) of the Connecticut Business Opportunity Investment Act must use the new FORM CT-BOIA-EX, and the Department will no longer post exclusion claims to its website. The Connecticut Department of Banking entered an Order to Cease and Desist and Notice of Intent to Fine against D & M Group, LLC and related entities for alleged affinity fraud involving approximately $5.4 million in unregistered securities. The Department also revoked the broker-dealer registrations of Phillips & Company Securities Inc. and Arcstone Securities LLC for failing to maintain required agent registrations. Additionally, consent orders and stipulations were issued against Aegis Capital Corp. for a $20,000 fine, Growthpoint Technology Partners, LLC and SWCD LLC for $2,500 fines each, and Concentric Capital Strategies L.P. for a $3,025 payment to resolve notice filing deficiencies.
