FE Circular No. 07: Calculation of Daily Exchange Position
This circular amends Annexure-A, Annexure-B, and Annexure-C of FE Circular No. 26 to establish revised formats and instructions for Authorised Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh to calculate and report their daily exchange position. Authorised Dealers are required to submit daily exchange position statements using the revised formats with effect from May 02, 2010, while existing formats remain valid until June 30, 2010, and are replaced by the new formats from July 04, 2010. The document specifies that the overall net foreign exchange position must be measured by aggregating the sum of net long or net short positions, whichever is higher, and kept within the open position limit approved by Bangladesh Bank.
