FE Circular No. 40: Outward remittances on account of power purchase
Authorized Dealers may effect outward remittances to foreign beneficiaries against power transmission through the national grid, subject to Government-approved arrangements and valid contracts. Each remittance must be supported by authenticated invoices and a certificate confirming electricity receipt, while complying with tax regulations and KYC/AML standards. Payments for customs formalities related to power purchases are permissible under the IMP Form procedure.
