FEPD Circular No. 37: Foreign exchange regulations regarding outward remittances on account of current account transactions other than imports and transportation services

Bangladesh Bank consolidates and modifies existing regulations for outward remittances on current account transactions other than imports and transportation services, repealing relevant instructions in the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2018 except for monthly reporting. The circular establishes specific limits for Authorized Dealers, including an annual travel quota of USD 12,000 for adults and USD 5,000 in cash, while mandating the use of Form TM and reporting via the Online TM Monitoring System. It sets a validity period of one year for the instructions, requires prior approval for transactions exceeding indicative limits, and stipulates that Bangladesh Bank approvals remain valid for up to 45 days unless otherwise stated.
