FEPD Circular No. 38: Remittance facilities to SMEs
Authorized Dealers in Foreign Exchange in Bangladesh may permit small and medium enterprises to remit up to 3,000 US dollars annually for bonafide current expenses abroad. SMEs must be registered with the SME Foundation, and transactions are limited to a single nominated AD bank branch. The facility allows for traditional banking channels or refillable international cards with a per-card limit of 600 US dollars, with the combined total not exceeding the annual cap. This authorization excludes outward remittances for royalty, technical fees, or franchise fees, which remain governed by BIDA guidelines.
