FEPD Circular Letter No. 15: Remittance on account of freight charges against FOB imports
Authorized Dealers in Bangladesh are advised to facilitate remittances for freight charges against FOB imports without fail, as they have been reported to be reluctant to execute such transactions. The circular directs ADs to process these payments to shipping companies, airlines, or eligible licensed freight forwarders in Taka or equivalent foreign exchange, in accordance with the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions-2018. This instruction applies to all AD branches, Central Processing Centers, and concerned constituents.
