FEPD Circular No. 31: Release of foreign currency against private travel entitlements by Licensed Money Changers
The maximum limit for Licensed Money Changers to sell foreign currency notes, coins, and travelers cheques to outgoing resident Bangladeshi nationals against annual private travel entitlement is enhanced from 1,000.00 US dollars to 2,000.00 US dollars or equivalent in cash form. This adjustment applies specifically to the cash component of the entitlement under the Guidelines for Foreign Exchange Transactions (GFET)-2018. Instructions regarding foreign currency release for Hajj Pilgrimage remain governed by the Government's Hajj Policy, and all other relevant instructions remain unchanged.
