Final Report on the Technical Standards related to Consolidated Tape Providers and DRSPs (MiFIR Review)

In force from 5 Jan 2025Applies to: Market infrastructure

ESMA submitted final draft RTS and ITS under MiFIR on CTP input/output data, the equity CTP revenue redistribution scheme, business clock synchronisation, and DRSP authorisation. The draft RTS set minimum transmission protocol requirements, including latency of 50 ms for equity CTP contributors and 500 ms for bonds and derivatives CTP contributors, and specify UTC traceability and maximum divergence levels for business clocks. The revenue redistribution RTS set the methodology and criteria for suspending data contributors. The draft RTS 13 and ITS exclude CTPs, with new RTS and ITS for CTP authorisation. The Commission has three months to decide whether to endorse.
