Fixed Assets and Other Concepts: Ratio to Computable Equity

Effective 09/01/98, financial entities must ensure fixed assets and financing to related clients do not exceed 90% of computable equity responsibility. This replaces prior provisions in Communications "A" 2287, 2461, 1932, 1465, 2020, and Circular LISOL-1. Entities must exclude deductible concepts from the ratio calculation and restrict holdings of public/private securities and foreign mutual fund units to meeting minimum liquidity requirements only.
