The Reserve Bank of New Zealand and the Financial Markets Authority jointly issued FMI Standard 23 to mandate public disclosure requirements for designated financial market infrastructure operators. The standard requires operators to publish comprehensive rules, operational procedures, fee structures, and transaction data to ensure participants understand associated risks and costs. These obligations apply to pure payment systems, securities settlement systems, central securities depositories, and central counterparties commencing on 1 March 2024.
