Foreign Companies Regulations, 2018

The Securities and Exchange Commission of Pakistan establishes regulations for foreign companies, excluding non-profit organizations, to establish a place of business or liaison office in Pakistan. Foreign companies must reserve their name, register their documents with the Registrar, and file annual accounts using specified forms, while alterations to company details must be reported within thirty days. The regulations mandate electronic filing options, define certification and translation requirements for documents, and impose penalties for contravention, simultaneously repealing relevant provisions of the Companies (General Provisions and Forms) Rules, 1985.
