The Central Bank of the Republic Argentina replaces the foreign currency resource collection and application regime with new rules effective April 1, 1991, while derogating Resolution No. 126/91 effective March 1, 1991. The regulations establish specific requirements for demand, savings, and time deposits in US dollars, including a 30% minimum cash reserve, exclusion from deposit insurance guarantees, and daily liability limits of three times the previous month's net worth. Authorized banks may apply lending capacity to resident financing, interbank loans, secondary market purchases, and authorized securities, subject to a defined calculation formula and investment caps.
